Bi-directional energy storage system

This system can improve max self use of PV power, reduce dependence of grid, and increase the income of PV power, provide safe and reliable power solution. Because of energy storage unit, except the basic function of peak-load shifting and on grid, the system is with the function of off grid and charge and dis-charge at a fixed time, high system efficiency and low operation cost, provide different application for all kinds of occasion, like:
1. Grid-connected generation system without battery
2. Off grid system (For island or regions without electricity)
3. Back up power (For regions with unstable electricity)
4. Self consumption (For regions with high electricity bill)
5. Charge and discharge at a fixed time (For regions with tiered pricing for electricity)
6. On grid without feed to Grid (For regions which not allow for on grid)
7. Energy Storage (For energy storage power station with function of peak-load shifting and grid dispatching)


The system is consisted of Solar panel, Bi-directional energy storage inverter, Loads, Battery and Grid. For different application, there are different configuration.

Here we take PV Bi-directional Energy Storage Inverter’s Self-Consumption Application for example,
This work mode is one of the common application modes. In this mode, there is three input
power source: PV, Battery and Grid power. While the PV power is not enough for the loads,
battery will be discharge to replenish energy for the loads; While the PV power is adequate,
redundant PV power will be storaged into the battery; While the PV power is quite sufficient, the
battery be full charged, then the redundant power feed to the grid power.
In addition, while grid power abnormal (such as service interruption), then Bi-directional
Energy Storage Inverter switch off its connection of grid power automatically, change its working
mode from grid connecting mode to PV off grid mode, continue providing power for the loads.
While grid power return to normal, Bi-directional energy storage inverter’s working mode change
from PV off grid mode to PV on grid mode, connecting with the grid power.
Electricity meter’s function is to realize spontaneous self-use function, at the same time,
limit the redundant power feed to grid power, make zero power convey to grid power come true.
1. With Battery
PV Grid-Connected Generation System & PV Off Grid Power Generation System
(have following three applications)
1.1 PV On-Grid & Feeding Power to Grid Power Application
Redundant power feed to grid power, no PV power wasting, maximizing the benefit of
photovoltaic power generation.


 
1.2 PV On-Grid & No Feeding power to Grid Power Application
Redundant PV power be limited, no feed to grid power, waste PV power, reduce the benefit of
photovoltaic power generation.

This model is applied to areas that do not have a grid policy or are not allowed to send electricity
to the grid.


 
1.3 PV Off Grid Application
When grid power is service interruption, system switch to PV off grid mode auomatically.


 
2. Without Battery
PV Grid-Connected Generation System ( have following two applications )
2.1 PV On-Grid & Feeding Power to Grid Power Available Application
Redundant PV power transfer to grid power, no waster PV power, maximizing the benefit of PV
power generation.
